PIKE: AGGREGATE DIVISION:

Crusher Utilityperson(s) (New Hampshire and Vermont):  We are seeking a safety-minded, qualified, team oriented individual to assist with various duties.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: general laboring, equipment operation, welding and fabricating, operating a haul or bin truck, and performing general maintenance duties. Positions based at Tilton Sand & Gravel, New Hampshire, and Williamston, Vermont.  Classification:  Seasonal hourly position.

Requirements:

  • Must be committed to providing and promoting a safe work environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high pressure, multi-tasking environment.
  • Manage duties in a timely and efficient manner, and be able to work independently.
  • Willingness to learn and help where needed at the facility.
  • Extended hours with possible night and/or weekend work as well as overnights.
  • The willingness to travel to other Pike locations throughout Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont when needed.
  • A valid driver’s license.

 

PIKE: ASPHALT PLANTS DIVISION:

Plant Utilityperson (Vermont):  We are seeking a safety minded, qualified, motivated candidate to assist with various duties around the plant.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assist in operation and maintenance of Cold Mix asphalt plant, general laboring, equipment operation, welding/fabricating, operating a haul or bin truck and performing general maintenance, as well as operating a front end loader.  This position will be based out of Vermont and will travel to various locations as needed. Classification: Seasonal hourly position.

Requirements:

  • Must be committed to providing and promoting a safe work environment.
  • Must be able to operate a Front End Loader and Skid Steer Loader safely and efficiently.
  • Possess a general understanding of Mine Safety Health Regulations.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Extended hours with possible night and/or weekend work as well as overnights.
  • The willingness to travel to other Pike locations throughout Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.
  • A valid driver’s license.

 

 

PIKE: EQUIPMENT DIVISION:

 

Field Mechanic (Vermont):   The selected safety minded individual will start out working in the shop and shadowing seasoned mechanics driving from one destination to another throughout New Hampshire and Vermont.   The primary responsibility of the mechanic will be to repair and maintain machinery and equipment under the direction of the supervisor. Basic welding skills are preferred, but not required.  This position will be based out of Williston, Vermont.  Classification: Year round hourly position.

 

Requirements:

  • Must be committed to providing and promoting a safe work environment.
  • CDL class A and VT State Inspection Licenses preferred but not required.
  • Associate degree from a technical institute preferred but not required.
  • Ability to trouble shoot and maintain all types of heavy equipment including but not limited to: dump trucks, pickups, reclaim and milling machines, loaders, graders, dozers, pavers and rollers.
  • Strong working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Candidate must have or be willing to obtain a New Hampshire State inspection license.
  • Extended hours with possible night and/or weekend work as well as overnights.
  • The willingness to travel to other Pike locations throughout Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont when needed.
  • A valid driver’s license.
