Vermont Works for Women

Rosie’s Girls Summer Program is an exciting summer day camp that helps girls develop and strengthen their capacities and confidence while exposing them to a range of educational and career options they may never have considered.  Girls entering grades 6-8 can try their hand at carpentry and arts – challenging themselves and each other -  and develop media literacy skills in an atmosphere that is fun, supportive and positive.

Rosie’s Girls has been replicated in Vermont and nationally since its inception in 2000. VWW administers and oversees two sites in Vermont – Essex and Barre – while other organizations and/or individuals run the program in five other Vermont locations including Rutland, Manchester, Bennington, Brattleboro, and Middlebury.  Rosie’s Girls programs also take place in various locations in Ohio, California, and South Carolina with guidance and support – through ongoing technical assistance – from VWW.

Rosie’s Girls Essex 2012 Dates: June 25-July 13
Rosie’s Girls Barre 2012 Dates: July 23-August 10
