Accounting Services Manager

The Town of Middlebury is hiring for an Accounting Services Manager position. You have the opportunity to join our team in a position that is responsible for operation and all accounting functions for the Town. The ideal candidate is eager to:

• Direct and manage a changing and innovative Finance Department
• Review and evaluate finance and business processes to uncover efficiencies
• Develop, enhance and continuously improve new online payments capabilities for the Town to better serve the community
• Ensure the Town receives the maximum value of all grant funds received through great efficiencies.

In this role, you oversee and support all Accounting staff, report to the Town Manager and manage payroll and processing for all employees. You prepare monthly budget reports for the Town Manager, coordination for annual audits, reconcile bank statements and other projects as needed.

This position requires all 40 hours of the work week to be spent in an office setting. The Accounting Services Manager engages with the public for payments and financial related questions both in office, and by phone.

The Town of Middlebury offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. The pay for this position is $63,000 - $68,000 depending upon experience.
