Campaign Associate

For United Way of Northwest Vermont

The Campaign Associate (CA) is hired by United Way to assist in the
implementation of the annual Community Campaign. This role is well
suited to a rising star or someone who wants to broaden their
network in Chittenden, Franklin and Grand Isle Counties. The
Campaign Associate functions as a member of the 3 person
Campaign Associate team as well as the broader campaign team to
manage assigned accounts and/or work on special initiatives.

1. Contact and work with company campaign keypersons to help
plan, organize and conduct effective campaigns among their
executive and employee groups.
2. Make educational presentations to employee groups about
United Way’s impact in the community in alignment with key
communications goals and the United Way World Wide brand.
3. Communicate with keypersons and company leadership
regarding corporate gifts and pledges.
4. Manage administrative aspects of workplace campaigns
 Providing all necessary campaign materials
 Responding to special requests
 Sending thank you notes to campaign Keypersons and
CEOs, as appropriate
 Maintaining complete records on assigned accounts
 Completing an evaluation with recommendations for future
campaigns for each account.
 Tracking campaign activities and results.
5. Attend all related campaign meetings and functions including
Live United Celebration & Campaign Kick-off, Keyperson training
sessions, monthly campaign Cabinet meetings and weekly
campaign reporting meetings.
Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed or based on the
candidate’s interests.

An ideal candidate will have:
1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
2. Interest, curiosity and caring about the community.
3. Strong phone skills and ability to use standard office software
and learn to use certain software specific to this role.
4. Ability and willingness to learn new skills. This role is a great
way to develop presentation and public speaking skills.
5. Ability to be a good teammate.
6. Ability to represent United Way and sponsor in an ethical and
professional manner.
7. Must have dependable transportation for use during work
hours. Mileage is reimbursed.

The Campaign Associate position runs 15 weeks, September 9th through January 3rd, and is 37.5 hours per week. The weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas are unpaid time off.
