For Saint Michael's College - Facilities Department

The Facilities Department at Saint Michael’s College is inviting applications for a full-time Plumber. This position supports the department in maintaining a comfortable, safe, and efficient environment by providing timely responses to issues and ensuring all campus plumbing systems are fully operational.

Some responsibilities include:

  • Maintains, repairs, and replaces all plumbing systems and components throughout campus, including commercial kitchen equipment/appliances. 
  • Operates and repairs energy management building system that controls heating and cooling systems
  • Participates in an on-call rotation for 1-week every 4-5 weeks
  • Identifies deferred maintenance issues
  • Implements preventative maintenance for the shop

 

This position will require regular work hours, as well as occasional on-call evening, weekend, and holiday times.

Requirements:

Applicants must have the following:

  • High school diploma or 2-4 years’ work experience and specialized training
  • Vermont Journeymen Plumbing license preferred
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Driver's license - must be able to successfully pass driving record check. For criteria please see the Driver Acceptability Matrix
