Our team of professionals at the Northern Digital Inc. (NDI) office located in Shelburne, Vermont are currently recruiting for a Project Manager with experience in product design and development.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

As Project Manager, you will join the NDI R&D team developing our next generation of advanced measurement systems for medical device markets. Leading a cross-functional team, the Project Manager plays a key role in driving selected designs from conception to implementation and release. 

The role requires proven leadership ability and the technical acumen to lead projects effectively.  The successful candidate is highly organized, results-driven and comfortable collaborating with all levels of our matrix organization. 

What You Will Be Doing:

You will be responsible for the management and execution of design projects and related tasks in accordance with NDI’s Product Development Life Cycle:

  • Hands-on management of product development projects from requirements definition through commercialization, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation.
  • Conduct regular status meetings, design reviews, and management communications; Organize and monitor progress of project team members and assigned tasks;
  • Serve as prime contact with project sponsors (internal and external customers);
  • Participate in a hands-on manner in the development, implementation, test and integration of solutions;
  • Interface with outside resources (vendors, consultants, etc.)
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure a successful transition throughout the new product’s lifecycle.

What You’ll Bring To The Role: A fit with NDI culture: Be Different, Be Better; Customer First; Be Genuine & Honest; Win Together BS or advanced degree in engineering such as Electrical, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering or other related technical discipline, with 2+ years experience managing product development projects; medical device experience highly preferred. Outstanding communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) to all levels of an organization, with a strong ability to communicate technical information and findings. Strong and broad skills using the tools and technique of project management (WBS, Scheduling, Gantt charts, risk register, issues log, budget forecasting, etc.). Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive execution and accountability to ensure on time delivery of key project milestones. Familiarity with software and electrical design and development processes Desire Characteristics/Additional Assets: Knowledge/experience with measurement systems; Medical device experience; ISO 13485 Experience in the consumer electronics industry. Proficiency with Jira
