Responsible for cleaning, landscaping, and light maintenance of CHT residential and commercial rental properties.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
General cleaning of grounds;
Landscaping, which includes weeding gardens, mowing, raking and general care of all assigned properties.
Assist with unit turnover activities, hauling as needed (hauling for storage or trash);
Light maintenance which includes light bulb changes, common area maintenance, and other light maintenance projects as needed;
Transports files, supplies, equipment, appliances, etc. between properties or CHT offices;
Admits Vendors/Contractors to properties/offices/units as needed and directed by Associate Director of Maintenance;
Other duties as assigned.
Positive attitude, self-motivated, willingness to learn and attention to detail;
Complete fair housing training and adhere to all applicable requirements;
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation;
Ability to pass a criminal background check;
Some evening, weekend, or early morning hours may be required;
Commitment to CHT's membership based model of community controlled and permanently affordable housing
Knowledge of, and experience with, light property maintenance, landscaping and grounds upkeep and related tools and techniques
o Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals;
o Speak effectively with customers or co-workers;
o Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form;

While performing the essential duties of the job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
