Seasonal Trail Crew Members
Be a part of a 4–6-person crew responsible for routine trail maintenance and technical trail projects in VT State forests and parks. The crew works on projects throughout Vermont’s State Lands and travels between work areas. The crew will be based out of the Groton State Forest Maintenance Shop where campsites and canvas-walled tents will be available for use on days off. Positions require previous experience on trail crews or similar work. Wilderness First Aid and Game of Logging Levels 1-3 certifications are encouraged but the successful candidate can also gain these certifications as part of the position training. There will be one Crew Member position that will run from the beginning of May to the end of October and will be responsible for general and technical trail work associated with State Lands trails and recreation assets. Another position will run from June-August and will perform general labor under the guidance of the Trail Crew Leader. Please note on your application which position(s) you are interested in. When applying on-line for these positions, under the “Park Preferences” section, select the “Trails Program” position. Applications accepted until positions are filled.
