Girls Tech!

Welcome to Girls Tech! Girls Tech! is an annual career exploration event for middle school girls and gender non-conforming youth in grades 7-8. At Girls Tech!, Vermont Works for Women (VWW) and Burlington Technical Center (BTC) offer students the opportunity to get hands-on and learn about six of BTC’s programs through fun, engaging activities in a supportive environment.

Watch the “Introduction to Virtual Girls Tech! 2020” video below to hear more about how this year’s virtual event will work. Have fun exploring!

This year, the annual, in-person Girls Tech! event scheduled for April 30, 2020 was cancelled due to COVID-19 and school closures. Now, Girls Tech! 2020 is virtual! We are excited to provide middle school girls and gender non-conforming youth with engaging career exploration opportunities through an online platform. For this year’s program, please see below to explore the following programs at Burlington Technical Center: 1) Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering for a Sustainable Future/Welding & Metal Fabrication, 2) Automotive Science & Technology/Auto Body Repair, 3) Culinary Arts, 4) Digital Media Lab, 5) Human Services, and 6) Programming & Computer Science.
